  28. telephone call with this hard-metallic voice claiming to be a computer
  29. called SPECTRE. I then--as you put it--"seemed compelled" to cross-post it
  30. to sci.physics. By the way, SPECTRE seemed really pissed that you were
  31. apparently afraid that these revelations might sully your reputation as a
  32. serious physicist. I assured it, of course, that this thought had never
  33. entered your mind.

  38. SPECTRA (not SPECTRE) is the term used by Andrija Puharich in URI for the
  39. alleged AI intelligence from a space-ship. "The Nine" is also used and it
  40. played a significant role in the shennangans at Esalen with the Soviets in
  41. late 70's.  I have never claimed that what happened to me in 1952 was what
  42. it said it was. But I have truthfully described the facts of the
  43. experience.
