  12. I deliberately did not post The Gladstone Report on this conference as it is
  13. more appropriate to other conferences since it is more than physics - it is
  14. literature, politics - the Glass Bead Game. McInnes seemed compelled to post
  15. it here. All the historical facts asserted in it are true - including my
  16. weird experience as a kid in 1952 with the metallic voice claiming to be a
  17. computer on a spacecraft from the future. My childhood friend Al Brough of
  18. the New York Police Department Homocide DIvision (Snyder St Station) may
  19. well remember it as he was in my apartment within minutes of that call.
  20. Exactly, what the call was is anybody's guess - if it was not what it
  21. claimed to be then it was some adult messing with a 12 year old's mind - but
  22. the interesting coincidence is how it ties into the Uri Geller caper twenty
  23. years or more later including the Puthoff remote viewing experiments at SRI
  24. including an incident with the late Brendan O Regan, Barbara Honneger (of
  25. October Surprise fame) and the alleged psychic - not Geller, not Pat Price,
  26. his name escapes me for the moment - in which the cold metallic voice
  27. appeared again claiming to be a computer on board a space-craft from the
  28. future- not to mention Andrija Puharich's written accounts of such stuff and
  29. the Jenny and the Nine incidents at Esalen during the visits of the Soviet
  30. Elite before the fall of the old-line Soviet Regime. In the Alice and
  31. Wonderland world of covert intelligence these things may all be connected in
  32. a very meaningful way. But this is not the proper subject matter of this
  33. conference - important and interesting though it might be.

  37. Arguing with Jack Sarfatti is a bit like shoveling manure in a barn
  38. full of horses. No matter how much you shovel today there will be just
  39. as much to shovel tomorrow. It is not that Jack is unintelligent or does
  40. not know physics. It is just that he is extremely careless. He seems to
  41. confuse lack of scientific discipline with scientific adventurousness.
  42. They are not the same thing. Scientific adventurousness is impossible
  43. without scientific discipline.

  46. detail later - but you are covering up your basic confusion. True one needed
  47. to change relative polarizer settings to see the (cos@)^2/2 correlation
  48. which violated Bell's inequality - but you do not have to do it as a
  49. dynamical process in time. It is enough to do what Aspect dis - switch the
  50. polarizer orientations in a time short compared to flight times of each
  51. photon in pair from source to polarizer-detector to ensure a space-like
  52. interval between both measurements of each photon in same pair. Your delay
  53. corresponding to time it takes one of the photons to move from its polarizer
  54. to its detector is not important. If you looked at my diagram you would see
  55. what I mean - maybe. I still say you are dealing with an illusion. More
  56. later when I read your latest post in detail.
