- I did find Grover's book. It is a practical and apparently
- unique work. He seems to have been the guru in charge of
- inductance at the Bureau of Standards for many years. It was by
- tracing back the references in this and a later NBS publication
- that I found the actual theory from which the inductance tables
- were constructed.

- You mention finite element analysis, and I've wondered about
- this in connection with electric motors and antenna fields.
- I can't just go out and buy an expensive software package,
- though. Is there anything available on the network that
- would help, at least to get started?
