  12.     I am constructing a code that calculates atmospheric propagation
  13. at moderate resolution (i.e., 1 cm**-1).  I have allowed the code to
  14. degrade the resolution to a user-specified value using a triangular
  15. function (i.e., the calculated spectral value -- transmittance, radiance -- 
  16. is convolved with a triangular response having unit area and the full-width 
  17. at half-maximum equal to the desired resolution).
  18.     However, I would like to permit the use of other functions
  19. if they are used within the community.  If you use (or know others who
  20. use) spectral resolution functions other than triangular, I would 
  21. appreciate it if you would e-mail me a description of the function and
  22. any comments that you wish to make regarding its use.
