- I am constructing a code that calculates atmospheric propagation
- at moderate resolution (i.e., 1 cm**-1). I have allowed the code to
- degrade the resolution to a user-specified value using a triangular
- function (i.e., the calculated spectral value -- transmittance, radiance --
- is convolved with a triangular response having unit area and the full-width
- at half-maximum equal to the desired resolution).
- However, I would like to permit the use of other functions
- if they are used within the community. If you use (or know others who
- use) spectral resolution functions other than triangular, I would
- appreciate it if you would e-mail me a description of the function and
- any comments that you wish to make regarding its use.
-
- Thanks.
