  12. Please forgive my ignorance, as I am new to this group.  I also would have 
  13. monitored the discussions for a while if I had not developed such an immediate 
  14. need -
  15.  
  16. Now to the point - I was wondering if there are any packages available over
  17. the net that perform optical analysis (such as ray-tracing, etc.).  And my 
  18. preferences are not my requirements - I would prefer something that runs 
  19. interactively in an X-windows or Sunview environment, but I can handle bland 
  20. Unix or even MS-DOS.

  22. Any assistance that you can provide would be most appreciated.  (Referral to 
  23. a FAQ or whatever.)
