  32. Like the wingman of the plane you're attacking doesn't already suffice for
  33. this.  Now big and slows a slightly different problem (i.e. AWACS), but
  34. they're already strongly defended.  And when it comes to the penetrating
  35. bombers, again maneuvarability is their asset.  And in a dog-fight, ranges
  36. are in the 2-10 mile range.  By the time your dropped missile deploys,
  37. scans, targets and attacks, you're DEAD.  An AIM9-L can be up your pipe
  38. before you know it, with the shot not even having to come from directly
  39. astern.
