- When I was in the army (gunner for both M-60A1 and M-551) there were many
- times when I would track helos with my main gun. Given that the helo didn't
- know I was there and that it wasn't doing any evasive maneuvers, the helo
- is no different a target than any other. If you know the approximate range
- and you've taken time previously to examine the differences in size between
- other tanks (trucks or other know dimensions) and the helos so as to better
- estimate the lead necessary to hit the target, I say sure. It can be
- done. High explosive would work best as these things are comparatively
- fragile, much more than a tank.
