- These days the healthcare marketplace is getting more demanding and
- hospitals now must demonstrate that the often expensive therapies are
- worthwhile. In our case, we're planning to use the SF-36 patient
- outcomes questionnaire for selected groups of patients. I'm interested
- if anyone out there in netland has had any experience implementing its
- use - and more specifically as a document that can be scanned into
- a database. Currently I'm projecting that having data entry personnel
- take care of the forms will be more cost effective than a scanner
- and the applications interface necessary to make it work. But, as the
- populations we survey expand then the volume may in time justify
- investing in one. If you have some helpful tips garnered from
- experience I'd appreciate it! I'd ofcourse appreciate input if you've
- dealt with any kind of healthcare data collection forms as scanned
- documents, but the SF-36 is what I'm really looking for. Thanks!
