  24. I've heard this guess from a couple of people and it seems reasonable to 
  25. me: intercourse helps cramps because the cervix is massaged. Massage with
  26. the fingertips works at least as well as intercourse does, at least in my
  27. experience and that of the other women who suggested this interpretation.
