- Indeed, as many posters have stated, body temperature experiences
- variation throughout the day, and indeed given various conditions.
- Temperature immediately after exercise will typically be a degree or
- so higher than average. It has been found recently that true BCT
- (body core temperature) averages about 98.2F for humans. A variation
- of up to 2 degrees above or below your average is no cause for alarm,
- unless other conditions warrant concern. One thing to be watched for
- in elderly people, or people with otherwise impaired temperature
- regulation is chronic hypothermia. The BCT will slowly cool and the
- body will compensate until such a point where normal metabolism is
- impaired enough to be noticeable.
