- My 36 year old sister was diagnosed as a petit mal epileptic when she was about
- 3 years old. She has taken dylantin up until 2+ years ago when she decided to
- have a baby. Since her daughter's birth 22 months ago other problems have
- arisen. She has brownouts and a racing heart from time to time. She seems
- to notice that these instances occur around diet and stress. Greasy foods or
- some event triggers them. She wants to have another baby so she has not gone
- back on the medication.
-
- Is it possible she never had epilepsy? Could the dylantin have been keeping
- the brownouts and heart racing under control all this time? What direction
- should she take?
-
- What other illnesses is dylantin used for?
-
- Thanks in advance for input.
-
- Cheers
