- This thread began as commentary on the Talking Barbie doll that says, "Math
- class is hard!" Mattel discontinued that variant and agreed to replace
- any doll whose repertoire contained the offending sentence.

- NBC broadcast a followup a few days ago. Mattel reports that five dolls
- have been returned for replacement. It's a much better deal to contact
- a collector, who may offer as much as $150. And the mother who started
- the protest has not exchanged a doll. Her daughter is attached to it,
- and won't consider a replacement.
