- I have used ViewDAC from Keithly ASYST. It is very
- useful but very expensive. It is their high-end
- package. If you have alot of money, your time
- is expensive, you have to write multiple applications,
- and having a pretty end product is important
- then buying any of the top products
- from any of the manufacturers is probably money
- well spent.
-
- On the other hand, if any of the above 4 criteria
- don't apply then you have to start making some
- rather difficult decisions based upon your own
- priorities and applications. I have done many of the
- intermediate things from programming the acquisition
- software in C and BASIC, to using less expensive less
- powerful DAC software.
-
- I think that any of these solutions would still be
- the "optimum" solution given the appropriate selection
- criteria. It is for this reason that you really need
- to ask an unbiased expert(s) for a recommendation
- based on your specific application, if you want to
- even come close to this "optimum".
-
- Of course if ~$5000 is pocket change to you, just
- go out and buy the top of the line product from the
- manufacturer you are most comfortable with, and you
- will probably be happier than you would be
- writing your own code. :)
