  17. The Passive Solar Industries Council is a national association
  18. devoted to providing practical information on energy conscious,
  19. passive solar design and construction throughout the United
  20. States building industry.  PSIC provides accurate and easy-to-use
  21. guidelines, software and general information about energy
  22. conservation measures (ECMs), energy efficient equipment and
  23. appliances, daylighting and passive solar architecture.  PSIC
  24. will be publishing  Smaller Commercial Building Guidelines in

  28. The National Audubon Society has published a packet of
  29. information, Building for an Environmental Future,  on the
  30. retrofit of their national headquarters.  The packet details the
  31. ECMs included in the retrofit and the environmental benefits
  32. associated with each ECM.  The packet also provides a listing of
  33. environmentally conscious architectural firms.  In addition,
  34. Audubon has published a Technical Guide which provides specific
  35. information on how to incorporate environmentally sound
  36. principles into any building project.  Contact the National

  40. Energy & Economics: Strategies for Office Building Design is a
  41. guidebook for design professionals which contains strategies for
  42. designing efficient buildings.  The book examines specific
  43. projects for improving the efficiency of lighting, building
  44. envelope design, heating, ventilation and air conditioning
  45. (HVAC), and much more.  Each example is examined for its cost and
