  10. Recently (& more by good luck than good management) I aquired a small air
  11. cooled argon laser head and exciter, Spectra Physics type 262. As this
  12. machine, whilst fully functional, is in battered condition, i speculated
  13. that it may benefit from a little tweaking. The first issue is the mirror
  14. alignment - does anyone know of a standard procedure for this ?. Simply
  15. twiddling screws seems pointless, as the feedback mechanisms (optical and
  16. current) just try and compensate, until it gives up when too far out of
  17. kilter. Speaking of feedback mechanisms, can these be fiddled to increase 
  18. output, or is this likely to compromise plasma tube life. The tube 
  19. currently seems to pull about 6 or 7 amps. Info from anyone about the
  20. setup and output capabilities of the 262 would be appreciated.
