- Don't want to dissillusion you, Mark. But I think we are going to find that
- the 1995 compacts weigh a lot less than the 1975 compacts. Sure, the purchase
- price has gone up. But has the product lifetime cost in constant dollars gone
- up. Truth is, I don't know, but my bet is on the not meaningfully side...
- I can promise you this... Nothing will be brought to market that violates
- prevailing economic tenets. I still _believe_ that effecient Electric Vehicles
- and Flywheel Vehicles will come to market within ten years. The product
- lifetime cost will be less than contemporary internal combustion vehicles.
- And the US economy will be most threatened by the rapid down-sizing of the
- aftermarket auto industry...
