  19. There's a linear accelerator nearby. The concept is to accelerate electrons
  20. to several hundred MeV in 10^-5 torr. I suppose some kinetic energy is
  21. stored. Oh there's a radiation problem....

  23. How about an elevator? You crank up a weight and let it drop when you want to
  24. accelerate and when you decelerate, you crank it up again. You can mount a
  25. sail on the mast too. Then you can tell your friends you have a yacht.
