- i had the impression some high current semiconductor failures were
- caused by spot heating due to uneven current distribution. this
- would make some spots along the junction carry a heavier density
- than others, hence, higher heat load. i think this is more true
- of older devices before they started putting in load balancing
- resistors in them.
