- Anyone have any opinions on the INTES (a Russian company) 6 inch f/10
- Maksutov? It was advertised on page 78 of the January Sky and Telescope.
- A complete scope plus mount is $1750.00. I just received the product
- literature, and it looks like an excellent telescope for the money.
- I'm specifically wondering how it might compare with a 5 inch Astro-Physics
- apochromatic refractor, which for the same price you would only get the
- doublet tube assembly and case ( or 4 inch triplet tube assembly and
- case ) I want to do both planetary and deep sky viewing, and have been
- using a Parks 60 mm refractor, with a right angle viewer/adaptor for 1.25 inch
- eyepieces, of which I have a number of high quality ones. My present
- telescope gives very good planetary images, better than many larger instruments
- (both refractor and reflector) I have looked through at star parties.
