- There are several NTP time servers operating in the UK at stratum 1, ie
- they derive their time from an external high-accuracy source. My
- own machine, bear.zoo.bt.co.uk (132.146.40.28), does this normally, taking
- its time reference from a GPS receiver. Its system clock is rarely
- more than 50 microseconds away from UTC, and one ought to be able to
- maintain millisecond accuracy from it in the UK running the latest
- version of xntp3 from louie.udel.edu.
- At this time, and over the Christmas period, my server is at stratum 2
- as I am evaluating the navigation performance of the GPS receiver in my car.
- It will be back to full accuracy in early January 1993.
