  10. I'm thinking about getting an S-VHS deck.
  11. The main manufacturers appear to be JVC, Mitsubishi, and Panasonic.
  12. I've read up on a lot of the stats between the brands, but the few
  13. things that I don't see are things like quality, usability, reliability,
  14. quality of playing older non-SVHS tapes. When I looked at the high-end
  15. mitsubishi about 2-3 years ago, it had a problem in playing regular
  16. VHS tapes with a very grainy picture. I'd like to move up without
  17. invalidating the quality of my existing tapes.
