  27. The best information that I've ever gotten on a piece of equipment was
  28. a stack of manuals that I received when I ordered the service manual for
  29. my old SONY SLHF-75 Betamax VCR.  Not only did I get a set of service and
  30. trouble-shooting manuals, I also got a pretty thick book called the
  31. Operations Manual.  The Op Manual described how everything was supposed
  32. to work in the machine, including all the features such as that EDIT
  33. switch, and the Control-S and Control-L interfaces.  It all came for
  34. their standard price of $20 plus shipping.  Since then, I've ordered
  35. service manuals for other SONY VCRs, and I was disappointed to find
  36. the extra manual not included.  In the future, I would try to ask
  37. specifically for the "Operations Manual" when I make another order.
