  17. IMHO this is myth.  If you noticed the original postings were as a result of
  18. information from a salesperson who was trying to steer the customer to another
  19. unit.  Sony TR101's have been hard to come by.  There is a video store near me
  20. that buys one each of Sony's hot selling CamCorders so they can advertise them
  21. but they always sell the customer the clone.  I was in the store and heard the
  22. salesperson say "this is my last TR81 and the boss wants to get rid of it but
  23. I won't sell it to you because I don't want to shaft you with a 90 day
  24. warranty."  Go to a Sony only dealer and I bet you will hear a different
  25. story.

  27. I have a TR101 clone, I have friends who have a TR101 clone, and I have 
  28. checked with my video store that sells TR101 clones - no one is having 
  29. problems.  Note - Canon just released a lens for the L1 that uses the same 
  30. technology for stablization that the TR101 does.
