- IMHO this is myth. If you noticed the original postings were as a result of
- information from a salesperson who was trying to steer the customer to another
- unit. Sony TR101's have been hard to come by. There is a video store near me
- that buys one each of Sony's hot selling CamCorders so they can advertise them
- but they always sell the customer the clone. I was in the store and heard the
- salesperson say "this is my last TR81 and the boss wants to get rid of it but
- I won't sell it to you because I don't want to shaft you with a 90 day
- warranty." Go to a Sony only dealer and I bet you will hear a different
- story.

- I have a TR101 clone, I have friends who have a TR101 clone, and I have
- checked with my video store that sells TR101 clones - no one is having
- problems. Note - Canon just released a lens for the L1 that uses the same
- technology for stablization that the TR101 does.
