- I have a 2 year old Sharp MTS stereo HiFi VCR. I recently got
- a Kenwood ProLogic receiver and some surround speakers. The surround
- performance is evident when watching encoded cable TV and playing encoded
- rented movies.
- I've recorded encoded movies off cable, but when played back the
- surround was absent. Is my VCR just passing the encoded signal through
- to the receiver in the first cases? Are stereo HiFi VCRs incapable
- of *recording* surround sound encoding? Am I asking to many stupid
- questions?
