- Per is right. When I first learned to program computers, I used
- seven track tape drives. I have no idea where I would find one of
- those today -- and it's only been 20 years since seven track tape
- drives were used in a surprising number of places. A hundred years
- from now, the only seven track tape drives, and perhaps the only
- nine track tape drives, will be in museums. Whether they will be
- useable is very debatable.
