- Discount for Accommodation:
- It should be noted that when you try to use the Entertainment book to
- reserve accommodation (well, at least for the several ones I have
- tried), they won't give you the entertainment discount unless their
- occupanycy is below a certain percentage or they may have black
- out dates (when occupancy is expected to be high). I also came
- across a similar book called "Celebrity '93" in Manhattan, but it
- contains no coupon for air-tickets.
-
- Discount for Restaurants:
- As for the coupons for the restaurants, it really depends. The
- '92 Entertainment book I got for New Haven is not really useful.
- I found quite a few of the listed restaurants closed. However,
- the one for Manhattan was quite good. There are one or two
- restaurants I may go back again (even without a discount).
- I guess it really depends on which book (for which city) you have
- got.
-
- Discount for Other Things:
- For car rental, if you do not already have AAA discount, or other
- special discounts, you can get a discount because you are an
- Entertainment member. They also have other (e.g. upgrade) discount,
- but usually you need to be renting something from Economy to mid-size
- to use these other discounts. The discounts for movie tickets are
- a good deal. You can get the tickets for about $4.5. Over here, at the
- counter, the tickets usually costs from $6.75 to $7.5. Last year ('92)'s
- Manhattan even contians discount coupons for buying tickets for the Knicks
- and baseball tickets at the Yankee Stadium.
