  14. This is the first time I have read or posted to this newsgroup, so I
  15. apologize if my request is out of place (I saw some discussions of
  16. equipment, so I thought it would be appropriate).

  18. I am looking to buy a pair of rollerblades, but I am not familiar with
  19. the different brands.  Because I am new to the sport, I am not in need
  20. of top-of-the-line equipment, just a pair to get me started, so that I
  21. can learn how to use them, and possibly participate in some of the local
  22. street hockey games later on.  Basically, I'm looking for something
  23. inexpensive, but fairly durable.  Can anyone make any suggestions?  I've
  24. noticed some models in some of the wholesale magazines that sell for
  25. around $50 (quoted as $120-$140 reg. price)... some of the brand names were
  26. Aeroglide, Ultra-Wheels, and Roller Derby.  Any opinions?  Any particular
  27. brands or frame materials (plastic, aluminum) to stay away from entirely?
