- After reading athe faq's I ran off to the ice rink to spread my new found
- knowlage. I talked to this only lady doing her axels and she grilled me about
- the reason figure skating was graded on a scale of 1-6 the faq's state
- >figure skating is graded on a scale of 1-6 because in the old days people
- >had to skate compulserary figures. They had to skate 3 figures (eights?) and
- >were graded for each part they did right.
-
- Could somebody please give me a source for this information. I feel like a
- dult and am ashamed to skate in the one and only ice rink for 100 miles.
