- Not really. I think the ride has probably Arrow's BEST swooping drop to
- date -- very Schwarzkopf-esque. Other Arrow swooping drops (noteably the
- tripliet of 7-loopers) seem to have a weird kink in them, and I don't like
- them very much at all. It's an *ok* ride, but I wouldn't say it's one of
- the best around.

- Friends of mine in the Pittsburg area have photos of the rides construction
- through completion. No stories to tell on the Phanton, really, other than
- the guy who had to manually dig the hole for one of the footings for the
- second drop -- I guess he spent a bit of time in there!!

-
- No, everyone had the stats on the Phantom well before it's grand opening.
- In fact, one of the reasons a lot of people are pissed at the ride is
- that Kennywood knows how much coaster enthusiasts loathe trim brakes,
- and they were really talking up the fact that THEIR coaster would be
- balls-out-and-brakeless. Yeah, for all of 2 days it was. Putting the
- trim brake on the ride really downed people's confidence in the park and
- their promises (not to mention the fact it makes for a head-slamming finish!).
- Also, they were saying thatr the ride was going to have a tunnel over the
- helix, which never happened?! Maybe they just should have kept shut about
- certain things until they were sure of what was going to be.
