- I made an easy and cheap digital timing igniting system. It involved a
- kitchen timer and a 6 volt battery, a filament made with a thin strand of
- copper wire ound around a pin and a homemade firecracker. Also a good
- transistor might be needed also. If you know anything about electronics
- you should be able to amplify the signal (kitchen timer) output using the
- transistor hooked up to the battery. The filament heats up cherry red
- when the current goes through which ignites the firecracker or any other
- heat sensitive explosive. One point though. You are short circuiting the
- battery through the transistor and the coil. Make sure you get a high
- enough rating on the transistor so that the coil will glow REAL hot before
- the transistor blows. How to time it? Well, I guess you can figure that
- out.
-
- As for your radio control device; easy enough. Go buy yourself the
- cheapest radio controlled toy you can find and dissaseble it. Again, if
- you have any experience in electronics you should be able to use the coil
- system since the control unit allows current to flow through a circuit
- when a signal is received. Got it? I prefer going with fuse though.
- Cheaper, easier, and I don't plan on planting bombs on anyone which these
- methods of iginition would be ideal for. What do you want to set off anyway?
