- |I read or heard somewhere (a source I judged reputable) that cats will overeat
- |on food that is low quality. Sort of like making up in quantity for what
- |lacks quality although they never seem to get enough of either when the food
- |is not supplying them with what they need.
-
- Well, that could be it, or maybe not.
-
- My previous cat Woody was fed the way I feed all my cats -- canned food twice
- a day and freefeeding of dry food (then Meow Mix -- now I'm switching over
- from Pro-Plan to Anmar).
-
- Woody was just fine on this unless I came home late from work. It would get
- past his feeding time, he would start worrying about his food situation, and
- then he would eat EVERY BIT OF DRY FOOD IN THE BOWL, and then get sick on the
- carpet.
-
- He would also do this when I would go away for a weekend and leave him at home.
-
- So, perhaps Moxie is worried that if she doesn't eat all the food RIGHT NOW,
- it will be taken away from her and she won't get all she knows she needs...

- I get up each morning, gather my wits.
- Pick up the paper, read the obits.
- If I'm not there I know I'm not dead.
- So I eat a good breakfast and go back to bed.
-
- Oh, how do I know my youth is all spent?
- My get-up-and-go has got-up-and-went.
- But in spite of it all, I'm able to grin,
- And think of the places my get-up has been.
