- No, but it certainly removes them from being of "Norse culture". It's
- astonishing how quickly they dropped their "Norse culture" (if there was
- such a thing) and adopted that of northern France -- which is what they
- took with them. When the Normans conquered in England, Sicily, and the
- Holy Land, they didn't bring Norse with them, but Norman French.

- I know of no evidence that the Normans used "longships", nasty or
- otherwise, nor that they were particularly fond of axes. Moreach, you
