  23. In regards to this comment, I would like to read a section from Corpora:
  24. VI.A.1.b.  Selection of Royalty
  25.     3) No one may take part in a Royal Lists, either as
  26.     a competitor or as a prospective consort, who has any
  27.     reason to believe that either member of that competing
  28.     couple will be unable to fulfill the duties of royalty.

  31. Now, this says "unable to fulfill" rather than "unwilling to fulfill".
  32. However, it is obvious that our governing documents consider participation
  33. in a Crown or Coronet Tourney to be rather more serious than a normal
  34. tourney.  Careful consideration should be made before deciding to enter
  35. a Crown Tourney.  East Kingdom law is more explicit:
  36. Part II.C. Eligibility for the Crown Tourney
  37.     6. No person shall enter the Crown Lists without
  38.     intending an honorable attempt to compete for the Crown.

  40. These were the things that came to my mind as I read the current
  41. discussion, and I thought to mention them here.  It is obvious
  42. that other parts of the Known World think differently than the East
  43. Kingdom (given the discussion on this topic I have seen from those
  44. in the West Kingdom in the past).  Still, Crown Tourney is a different
  45. kind of event from the normal tourney, and I think that all fighters
  46. should take it seriously.
