- The problem is that this still doesn't recreate medieval battles all
- that well. The medieval soldier, as I understand it, was trying to
- decide whether how much he was getting paid for this was worth the risk
- of dying; many battles were won because of scare tactics to demoralize
- the enemy, etc. In our recreation, where the goal is to *fight*, not
- to stay alive, we can't really achieve the right attitude.
