- as one of the proverbial minorities in the sca, i find that the
- most glaring (and amusing) assumption on the part of the majority of
- scadians is that i _must_ know a great deal about the culture/language/etc
- of my racial heritage (japanese)...as so happens, it is an area that i
- have studied...(and admittedly do have some advantage as nisei <grin>)

- does anyone else find that they meet with similar assumptions,
- be they based on accent/ancestry/awards (ever run into the peer "x" is right
- about everything syndrome? <grin>)
