- Re crashed FOX
-
- Although the tank isn't in the optimum position, with silencer presure it
- should be perfectly ok..
-
- I have a really old Webra 60 that has so little compression that you can
- barely fee it when you turn the prop over. I use it all the time in a
- Wot4 and it runs fine, probably not a powereful as it once was but more
- than adequate for the Wot4... So discount lack of compression....
-
- It's obviousy only running on the fuel you're squirting in the carb.. The
- needle settings shouldn't be that critical to get the engine running, albeit
- not very well. So close to the manufacturer's setting should get be ok..
- set the throttle half open, then you really only have to worry about the
- main mixture needle...
-
- Are you sure the spraybar area is clear?... I would fill up the tank, remove
- the spraybar and with one filler line blocked off blow down the other and
- make sure fuel comes out of the carb.. Although I haven't seen a fox motor,
- I would be surprised if the needle valve should have a bit of metal on the
- end, it should be a smooth taper to a point...
-
- One final thing, is it a new tank? I've often seen the clunk thrown
- forward in a crash. This kinks the fuel line and you don't get any fuel
- flow...
-
- cheers
