- I find it interesting that the responses are about 50-50 WRT the engine.
- As a new flyer this spring, I put a .40FP on my trainer. I must have good
- instructors, because ~75 solo takeoff/landings later it still has
- not crashed.

- About halfway through the summer I got a .46SF ABC for my second plane,
- and decided to break it in on the trainer. It definitely has lots more
- power than the .40, and pulls my trainer much better. I am at altitude
- (~5000 ft) though, so we have less power here than you might there.

- If I had it do to again I would buy that .46 to start with, but hindsight
- is perfect vision, and I know that I'm not going to mess it up in a crash
- right away (although I won't bet on my second plane :-)
