- I have no knowledge of specific incidents, but can suggest
- a relevant variable. People with Parkinson's Disease have
- overactive muscles that "lock up" or otherwise interfere
- with one another. Movement can be so difficult as to approach
- life-long paralysis. Yet it is said that these same people
- can exhibit extraordinary agility during emergencies. I infer
- that they might also exhibit extraordinary strength, since
- the muscles are kept in good shape by their excessive activity.
- A old woman with Parkinson's might well be able to lift a
- car, or rip off its door, or walk along power lines to carry
- a baby out of a burning house.
