- Assuming that we're talking about a tournament situation (no grappling),
- you might want to block the kick with your elbow without actually lowering
- your guard. You shouldn't just stand there, either. You could step forward
- with your rear foot so you're inside his range and turn the block into an
- uppercut, f'r instance. Heck, you could block the kick with your shin
- instead of your hand and he can't move inside.
