- I probably made it sound more complicated than it really is. You start it just
- like you would a bad movie choke, but it's more aggressive (hence the shove
- that takes them off balance) and the thumbs move a bit more.

- Don't know. I'm shamefully rotten with names (Asian or otherwise). And even
- worse with spelling.
-
- Got a question for you, Wharfie. This choke attack could be a sort of sho-off
- attack. And the bear-hug variation I asked about probably won't happen to too
- many people in the near future. I'm sometimes curious about what-ifs because
- the world is less than ideal (sometimes) and I figure it's better to address
- what-ifs than to hope we never get into that situation to begin with.
-
- But back to my question. "I only use my martial art for self defense." Heard
- it a million times, and I generally agree with it. But are there times when
- you would use it to attack somebody? No one is attacking you or your loved
- ones or your friends. Is martial arts only for defense? Curious about the
- answers, philosophically and otherwise.
-
- Thanks Wharfie (and others),
