- Stick to warm climates where the tough guys wear Harley
- Davidson t-shirts with the sleeves ripped off rather than
- leather jackets (or, in a more up-to-date cliche, Raiders
- "starters")??

- I wonder what it feels like if you zap somebody who's got hold of you.
- And how long it has to recharge before you can administer another zap.
-
- Note also that people's reaction to electricity, like their reaction to
- chemical mace, genital strikes, and other magic-bullet stuff, is highly
- variable. Some will howl and run away, some will rip the batteries
- out with their teeth and throw it at you, and a few might just
- fibrillate before your very eyes. Yup. High voltage could constitute
- deadly force... and if you're going to do THAT, might as well use
- something that is reliably and predictably deadly!
-
- I'd guess that they fall into the same category as aerosols -- better than
- no weapon at all if you don't have any real empty-hand skills, but
- inferior to gun/knife/skillfully and earnestly wielded kubotan or
- Mag-Lite, etc.
-
- If the government would just come to its senses and initiate a
- public coming-of-age ritual where on your 18th birthday you
- stand up on a little platform in the town square and register
- to vote and are issued a 50-state open-carry permit and a free
- .45, none of this would be nee... oops, wrong newsgroup! :)
-
- Me, I'd rather put some rapid wear on my tennies.
