- I don't agree, but then I live where cooling the meat is usually
- not a problem. Unless you take something with a bow in Sept., then
- by all means do something to allow the critter to cool out quick.
- During rifle season one has more of a problem with the critter
- cooling too much, too quick. (Frozen animals are harder to butcher.)

- A butcher told me years ago that there is more wild meat lost due
- to being too soiled than due to spoilage from excess heat. The hide
- protects the animal from dirt, flies, birds, etc. But if it is hot
- out you may want to skin the critter soon to allow maximum cooling.
