  17. It is my understanding that, here in the American colonies, Quakers started
  18. the practice of having set prices for merchendise rather than haggling with
  19. each individual customer.  Eventually, everyone preffered to do things this
  20. way.  So what you say may very well be true, in that a Quaker's price would
  21. presumably not be a function of the ethnicity of the buyer or seller.
