- It is my understanding that, here in the American colonies, Quakers started
- the practice of having set prices for merchendise rather than haggling with
- each individual customer. Eventually, everyone preffered to do things this
- way. So what you say may very well be true, in that a Quaker's price would
- presumably not be a function of the ethnicity of the buyer or seller.
