- IMHO "defense" implies a need for 9mm or greater. The ">15 rounds"
- knocks out most everything greater than 9mm and also knocks out just
- about all the 9mm except for the Glock 17 and the pistols which
- look like a cut-down subgun (is there a better way to describe the
- "ugly" :-) pistols such as the H&K SP89, the Intratec and the Uzi?)
- (Any of the magazine fed pistols can theoretically have a
- magazine >15 rounds, but I'm thinking of the normal configurations.)
- The price constraint knocks out the H&K. So there are very few
- choices.
-
- If a person has requirements such as these, my general suggestion
- is to get a copy of Gun Digest or Shooters Bible and go through
- the handgun section and look at all the specifications and prices.
- It will not take very long, it will be a very good review, and it
- will lead to more precisely formulated questions.
