  19. Having never seen such a kit, I cannot say whether you would need a
  20. gunsmith for such a kit.  Being an apprentice gunsmith and QUITE
  21. familiar with 700BDL and 700ADL construction, I can say that it would
  22. be easier on a BDL than an ADL to make one from scratch and could be
  23. done by a competent gunsmith.  You also might be able to do it
  24. yourself if you are a competent machinist.

  26. I see the steps as follows:

  28. 1)    Remove drop door from floorplate.
  29. 2)    Obtain magazine which would fit inside resulting hole.
  30. 3)    Fabricate clips on bottom side of receiver to hold magazine
  31.     up into "magazine well".

  33. All of this would require careful fitting, but since the only critical
  34. thing is that the ammo feed (you are not making chamber or bolt
  35. modifications), I don't think there is any issue of safety here.  It
  36. will either work, or it won't.
