  39. ARRRGGGGUUUU!!!!  Is there ANY Colt clone company that hasn't/isn't
  40. going under?  First I settled on a Springfield, then I was told they
  41. were winding down operations.  Then I thought about a Real Colt, and
  42. was told they were Chapter 11 (or some such).  Now I find out that
  43. AMT is doing multiple Reorgs...

  45. So who does that leave?  Norinco - questionable quality?, Para Ordinance-
  46. which I can't find anywhere, even in my Shooters Bible, and which is
  47. reputed to be expensive, Auto Ordinance - also questionable quality...

  49. Sigh.  I tried handling a Glock, but the grip just feels wrong to me.
  50. (It DID sight exactly where I pointed it on the instinctive point test.
  51. Every time I checked the sights, it was spot-on where I was pointing!  
  52. It just feels funny to me.  I tried handling a Ruger P9x (the .45acp)
  53. and never felt such a strange trigger.  It goes through about 4 changes
  54. of pull hardness as things connect inside before it (finally!) creeps
  55. to a release ... it seems like a inch of trigger travel ...  It also 
  56. failed the instinctive point test.  Each point felt good, but checking
  57. the sights showed that it was all over the place... A Sig is out of my 
  58. price range...

  60. I know, Colt is doing a chapter, not going out of business ... and a 
  61. reorg isn't going out of business either ... but it sure makes one
  62. reluctant ... and jepordizes product lines.  I'd rather not buy a 
  63. model just in time to have it discontinued...
