- I've inherited a VZ-24, which was a licensed copy of the Mauser kar. 98.
- As I received it, it had a military-style sling (complete with elbow loop)
- that I believe was original equipment. It wasn't in the best of condition.
- 50 years in the attic left it badly dry-rotted, and it disintegrated while
- I was trying to clean it.
-
- I'd like to replace it with something as authentic as possible. I've
- stopped by the local gun shops, and they have some that are similar, but
- they have Western-style tooling in them, and somehow I don't think that
- matches a middle-european weapon.
-
- Does anybody know of a good source for this sort of thing?
