- Well, I fire formed my first new brass for my 30-348 Winchester.
- I formed 10 rounds at lunch, with less than .001" expansion of the
- case at the rim. It certainly puts a nice Ackley shoulder on the
- case. I ended up using (per Ackley), a standard load, which
- in my case is 58.5 grains of IMR 4831 pushing a 150 grain bullet.
-
- This round is a .348 Winchester that is necked down to .348. It is
- roughly equiv. to a 30-06, but with a case that is shorter and wider.
-
- Thanks to all the netters who offered advice and encouragement.
