  10. Not only did three of you post helpful suggestions on the bulletin board,
  11. even more sent messages to my account.  I had downloaded the file from
  12. u.washington using binary mode.  I did, however, apparently corrupt the
  13. code by compressing and then decompressing the already compressed file.  Today
  14. I went to a lab at the university to put the file on a floppy.  On my PC, I
  15. typed the simple filename, and the file politely extracted itself.  So I've
  16. now jumped the hurdle that yesterday was making me cross.  Thanks all of you
  17. for your help.

  19. Of course, troubles never completely go away.  Now I'm learning how to access
  20. my mainframe account from the program's terminal mode.  One of these days I
  21. will arrive at IGS ready to play.  My name there is "fjel".
