- Sadly, the International Dance Week is no more, cancelled by Centrum due
- to lack of interest and continuing losses (it was reportedly bankrolled
- for years by the incredible popularity and success of Fiddle Tunes).
-
- The Seattle group Living Traditions (aka Walter/Nancyanna Dill) will,
- however, be taking over the same week for *their* summer dance festival,
- which will focus on vintage and contemporary couple dances (such as
- tango, swing, lindy, and zydeco). Richard Powers is reportedly on the
- first year's staff. These are the same folks that put on the
- perennially-oversubscribed Wild Week that begins December 26th every year
- (also in P.T.), which is to say they come fairly highly recommended.
-
- For more info, you should probably contact Living Traditions directly:
- (206) 781-1238.
